As well as ensuring that the lads enjoy the spoils of their victory, the club is able to hire out a function room that can accommodate 120 people and supply a disco as needed.

Function Room

The function room at North Shields Rugby Club has seen a variety of talent across the years. When Shields were housed in 'the hut' it was not unusual for a free-for-all to develop including a drink-filled dance floor, dancing on the tables and maybe one or two other high jinx. Since the new build, North Shields has emerged as a popular venue for parties and get-togethers of all nature.

North Shields function room is available not only for parties and gatherings of all nature, but also an ideal meeting place for community groups and specialist groups to convene.

We have hosted gatherings for all occasions, from cradle to grave, for richer for poorer and coming of age, to name but a few. Holding 120 people, you can ensure that a close, warm atmoshphere will circulate in the group as the room is not so big to get lost in but as it is split into a floored are with a quiter carpeted area, you can cater for both the party animals and the chatters equally well.

Typical to a rugby club, there is always a fine selection of alcohol at very reasonable prices so your gathering will not break the bank as you can let the juices flow freely well within anyone's budget.
